Oh wow. So this is me 2 years later. Coming back to revive this old blog. So what's new? 2 years older, none the wiser. Oh wells, I have a proper serious job now, with responsibilities, bills to pay and expectations to fulfill. It's not easy being an adult.
On the personal side of things, I've just recently got back to square one. Things are complicated, surreal and well downright bizarre. Lets just see what life has in store. Decisions decisions decisions. I just want to do the right thing, but its not easy when there's so many temptations around. Urgh, lets just all be nuns.

the more you get caught up with work, the lesser you recognize yourself. i hate it that i've unwittingly become so self centered. but seriously when you dont have enough time, all you're preoccupied with is how to get work done, how to relieve stress and how to look good despite being swamped with work. so that doesn't leave you with much time left. and i can already envisage myself as a screamer when i reach higher level positions. well at least i'll scream and then feel guilty and treat my minions to lunch or something. now i really admire all those kind, patient lawyers. seriously, i think its almost impossible. i mean when you're already so highly strung, mistakes and incompetence is really annoying. and annoying things in life get more annoying. for example, an annoying person now becomes unbearable because why would you want to spend the 1 day of freedom dealing with them, when you could have gotten a massage or something. which brings me to the point of being a bad person.
sigh, i will endeavor to be a nicer person. i try ok. if life is already so unbearable, how do people even find the time to get married, let alone date? SDN is so gonna have to tackle worklife balance first.

barely into a month of learning to be a lawyer and my my my, not easy at all. alcohol and food consumption has increased with the extra stress. yea, i know its supposed to mimic real life, but have 2-3 deadlines due a week isnt exactly pleasant. i hate having things hanging over my head.
is god trying to play a sick joke on me. my horrorscope has been saying: an online hottie will leave a note. key oversight in real life: hottie. it also said: how's your lovelife? if its slow it will be getting a whole lot better. real life: non-existent? actually, its true, if its non-existent, it cant get a whole lot better. oh wells. if this even remotely mimics real life, i think i'll be dating my laptop and spending all my money on late night cab rides. seriously i dont even know how people find the time to date while working.

it has been long. i am now a graduate (cue thunderous applause). it is with a heavy heart that i realize that i am now one step closer to being forced to act adulty (not to be confused with adulterous). as much as i am excited to also be one step closer to commanding a 4K salary, i cant help but feel that life passes me by too damn fast! i havent had enough time to nua, although i somehow have found time to shop. a lot. i do not even want to look at the amount i spent over the summer.
as with all new phases in life, i'll need to do a spring cleaning of my horrendously messy room. like finally taking out my purchases from their shopping bags (yes, i am as lazy as that). and of course throwing away things that need to be thrown away to make way for the new stuff. doing it bit by bit because i am the queen of procrastination. but today i found an old box of letters. i swear these were essentials of dating in secondary school. and my my were they cheesy. the thoughts that we were so preoccupied with then were seem really out of place now. perhaps the child-like innocence is gone (i cant determine if that is a bad thing). there was also bad english, which is always funny to read. i have also discovered an interesting trend in the people that i like. well except er for one or two anomalies.
alright, i think its time to revamp my 'dream board' since some of it is no longer relevant or have already been achieved. teeheehee

been pondering this point: just because a trait is influenced by nature, does that automatically not make it morally wrong? pardon the confusing sentence structure. i hope to engage in a discussion with a willing someone.
which brings me to bemoan about how hard is it to meet someone even remotely interesting. hotness/general pleasant looks are relatively easy to find, but i am way past that now (i swear!). maybe i have unorthodox interests, but is it really that hard to find someone who appreciates a nice afternoon beer, the OCCASIONAL intellectual discussion and walks by the beach? having at least half a brain and witty, understated, mildly sarcastic/sadistic humour helps too. do i really really have to date myself?? i have been told that my standards are high, but trust me, they are there for a reason. sub-standards can only interest me for so long, ie as long as it takes for me to get irritated with bad basic english or a lack of a working brain.
but of course, i am not nobel prize worthy, so i am pretty sure my IQ may not even be as high as xiaxue. that's not a thought i like to entertain often, but reality sucks: i don't have the intellect needed to be the next chief justice. so see, it's easy to be my intellectual equal because sometimes, i display no intellect at all.
